Remanufacturing overview
Make do and mend
The remanufacturing process consists of 6 steps. Read more about the details.
| Sorting old parts | The sorting process for the returned used clutches includes selecting pressure plates and disks and then subsequently identifying the type numbers. | |
| Dismounting | The used clutches are completely disassembled. During this process individual parts that are not recycled are properly disposed of in accordance with environmental standards (certified in accordance with DINISO 16949 and the environmental certificate ISO EN 14001). | |
| Mechanical processing | The single parts are mechanically processed until the remanufactured parts are as good as new parts, in order to fulfill the quality requirements placed on SACHS clutches. | |
| Testing | After the single parts of the clutch have been remanufactured each part is individually tested in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements. This guarantees that no components are assembled which fail to fulfill the quality requirements of SACHS clutches. | |
| Assembling | The remanufactured clutches are exclusively assembled in accordance with OEM manufacturing documents. Components that were not useful (for instance wearing parts), are replaced by new parts. | |
| Testing Function | After assembly the processed clutches are 100% tested in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The high quality requirements during the remanufacturing process guarantee identical functional values to the series production products. |
