Master / Slave Cylinders

Although master and slave cylinders are characterized by a high level of durability and reliability, mechanical or chemical influences can lead to damage and premature wear of the products themselves.

Furthermore, it is important to note that through the automatic adaptability of the release effect on the clutch wear, the optimal combined action of a used actuating system with a new clutch can no longer be guaranteed.

For this reason, it is strongly recommended to check the status of the actuating elements and to replace them in any case when replacing the clutch.

Product range: SACHS offers you the alternative range for the brands Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Citroen and Peugeot in series production quality.

The pedal movement is transferred to a hydraulic cylinder (1, master) situated beneath the pedal. This produces a fluid pressure within an enclosed system and is received by a slave cylinder (3) via a hose line (2). This actuates the release clutch fork (4) and the release mechanism (5) and also therefore the clutch.
