ZF Multisteer: MS-E 3000

ZF has optimally matched the axle series MS-E 3000 to forthcoming vehicle classes. The flange dimensions now available allow full exploitation of the legally permissible vehicle widths.

Due to the modular design and a refined component strategy, the number of parts has been reduced by 25% in comparison to the previous models. A standard brake concept with encapsulated, wet multi-disk brakes was introduced on the front and rear axle. Since the brake is directly acting onto the wheel hub, the undesirable swaying of the vehicle during on-site operation is significantly minimized. Extended maintenance intervals and a reduced number of lubrication points round off the new design, giving clear benefits in terms of efficiency. On the Multisteer axle, the steering cylinder is integrated into the axle bodies and lies in a protected area behind the axle. The steering kinematics has been optimized with regard to steering capacity and steering geometry. The axles allow separate installation of the 2- speed powershift transfer box belonging to the system.
