PowerLine, the new automatic transmission for light commercial vehicles, closes the gap in ZF's product range. What's so special about it?Compared with similar automatic transmissions, PowerLine combines the automatic "Easy going" with an extraordinary level of economy. With this transmission, pickup trucks, small school buses, shuttle buses, and light trucks can cover longer distances with one tank of fuel.

Function & Benefit

• PowerLine is a 6-speed automatic transmission, suitable for engines with input torques from 600 to 1000 newton meters and designed for both gas and diesel-powered vehicles. It is light and compact and can be easily installed in different vehicle types: From the hydraulic control unit and the sensors, right up to cable connections - all components are integrated into the transmission system.
• The PowerLine proves its economic effi ciency in fuel consumption and life cycle costs. In addition to the intelligent shift strategy and its low weight, the transmission system reduces fuel consumption by means of its overall efficiency and an innovative torque converter. It enables the torque converter lock-up clutch to close early and thus reduces fuel-intensive operating phases, e.g. when setting off or maneuvering. In turn, maintenance intervals are longer: The transmission oil only needs to be changed every 120,000 kilometers. Oilfilter replacement has become obsolete. The life cycle costs of the automatic transmission, which is designed for a mileage of 700,000 kilometers, are correspondingly low.
