Rear Axle System for City Buses
AV 132 / AVN 132
The special design of the drop center axle makes it possible to lower the floor level of the bus at the rear axle to only 405 mm. Passengers benefit from the more comfortable entrance and exit facilities.
There are no steps, even with a third door beyond the drive axle, while steps or pedestals in the aisle can be dispensed with altogether, thereby reducing the risk of passenger accidents significantly. For transportation providers this means quicker passenger boarding and exiting.
Time spent at transit stops is reduced and overall transit times are also shorter. In addition, the AV 132 is extremely quiet, a very welcome benefit in city buses considering their limited scope for sound insulation.
Function & Benefit
ZF offers the AV 132 as an axle system. Apart from the axle with disc brakes, this includes all components needed for suspension, springs and damping, as well as ABS/ ASR and brake wear sensors.
